Course Outline
Module I: Anatomy of web applications and first steps with coding agents
• Learning to use the system terminal
• How a website works – the browser and the server
• Frontend and backend – responsibilities of each layer
• Domain and hosting – how a website reaches the internet
• First session with a coding agent (Claude Code, Codex) – installation, permissions, and costs
Module II: Git, GitHub, and agent workflow methodology
• Repositories, commits, and branches – recording history and reverting to previous versions
• Delegating Git operations to the agent
• Application specification as the starting point for agent work
• Planning mode and breaking tasks down into small, verifiable stages
• CLAUDE.md and AGENTS.md files – persistent instructions for the agent within the project
• Managing session context and fixing code errors with AI assistance
Module III: Sample project – offer configurator and pricing calculator for a renovation and construction company
• Collecting the scope of services, price list, and cost estimation rules
• Scope selection form and automatic pricing calculation
• Generating a PDF offer ready to send to the client
• Refining the look and feel, mobile version, and publishing from a GitHub repository to free hosting
Module IV: Skills and subagents
• Skills – embedding proven patterns of action as agent capabilities
• Building a skill from scratch: task description, exemplar examples, and supplementary materials
• Subagents with isolated context, e.g., a code reviewer and an interface tester
• Using existing skills and plugins, and assessing their security
Module V: Sample project – corporate resource booking planner
• Company resource catalog – meeting rooms, equipment, and company vehicles
• Availability calendar and detecting booking schedule conflicts
• Resource utilization report for the person in charge
• Using the prepared skill and reviewer-subagent during application development
Module VI: APIs, integrations, and databases
• Data exchange between programs – requests, responses, and JSON format
• Application secrets – securely storing access keys in environment variables
• Integrating Claude and GPT language models with your own application
• Tables, rows, and relationships – designing the database structure with the agent
• Working with the Supabase cloud database
Module VII: Sample project – internal company knowledge base with search
• Catalog of company documents (procedures, instructions, FAQ) organized by category
• Full-text search across document contents
• Administrator panel for adding and editing documents
• Change history and document versioning
Module VIII: Sample project – service ticket panel (helpdesk)
• Scope of supported tickets, categories, and case statuses
• Role division within the subagent team – planning, coding, review, and testing
• Employee panel with a ticket list, assignment, and priorities
• Ticket history and response time reports
Module IX: Testing, security, and production deployment
• Automated tests prepared by the agent
• MCP servers – an agent clicking through the application like a real user
• Identifying security vulnerabilities with AI assistance and GDPR principles for personal data
• Docker, server selection, and connecting a custom domain
• Monitoring traffic, backups, and estimating maintenance costs
