- Core SQL Queries: SELECT, WHERE, ORDER BY; filtering with operators; aliases, calculated columns, NULL handling.
- Hands-on practice with guided exercises.
- Data Definition (DDL): CREATE/DROP tables, defining data types, constraints, and views.
- Hands-on: building a schema from scratch.
- Data Manipulation (DML): INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, transactions, duplicate handling.
- Hands-on: populating and updating tables.
- Joins & Subqueries: INNER, LEFT, RIGHT, FULL OUTER, self-joins, scalar vs correlated subqueries, set operators.
- Hands-on: building data integration queries.
- Applied Workshop: business reporting scenario (sales or HR report, joins, subqueries).
Day 2 – Advanced SQL & Performance

- Hands-on: aggregated reporting exercises.
- Analytical & Window Functions: ROW_NUMBER, RANK, DENSE_RANK, PARTITION BY, ORDER BY, LAG, LEAD, FIRST_VALUE, LAST_VALUE, cumulative sums, moving averages.
- Business applications of analytical functions.
- Advanced Query Techniques: CASE expressions, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), recursive queries.
- Hands-on: building complex queries step by step.
- Indexes & Query Performance: how indexes work, execution plans, pitfalls, best practices.
- Hands-on: optimizing slow queries.
- Final Integrated Lab: creating schema, loading and transforming data, joins, OLAP, optimization, producing final report dataset.
