SAP S/4 HANA Foundations: FI, CO, MM, SD, QM, CS and PS
Course description
Overview
A comprehensive introductory course to SAP S/4HANA, which practically demonstrates system operations, the SAP Fiori interface, and core processes in key modules: FI, CO, MM, SD, QM, CS, and PS. Participants will understand the logic of master and transactional data, inter-module dependencies, as well as the basics of reporting and analytics in S/4HANA.
Today, SAP S/4HANA is a central system supporting financial, logistical, sales, quality, service, and project processes in organizations. In practice, this means that users – regardless of position – work on shared data and within processes that span multiple modules. Therefore, it is crucial to understand not only "where to click", but also: what happens to the data, how the system connects processes, and what business impacts a given transaction has.
The course is designed as a comprehensive map of S/4HANA: from system basics and navigation in the SAP Fiori Launchpad, through data foundations (master data, transactions, configuration), up to an overview of processes in the modules:
- FI (Finance) – general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, assets,
- CO (Controlling) – cost elements, cost/profit centers, internal orders,
- SD (Sales & Distribution) – sales, shipping, invoicing, master data,
- QM (Quality Management) – quality planning and control, inspections, reporting,
- CS (Customer Service) – service orders and contracts, data foundations,
- PS (Project System) – project structures, budgeting, execution and monitoring.
The entire program is concluded with an integration and reporting module, where participants will see how data flows between FI/CO/MM/SD/QM/CS/PS, and how to use basic reports and Fiori analytical applications.
The outcome of the course is a cohesive understanding of the system: the participant begins to see SAP S/4HANA as a logical ecosystem of processes, rather than a collection of separate modules.

- Smoother cross-departmental collaboration – understanding the FI–CO–MM–SD–QM–CS–PS dependencies shortens coordination time and reduces errors
- Better data quality – conscious use of master data and understanding its impact on processes
- Basics of reporting and analytics – quickly accessing management information without Excel "magic"
Training methods
- introductory mini-lecture (context + module map)
