Microsoft Copilot in Microsoft 365 (Practical Applications of AI)

Course Description

Overview

This workshop focuses on the practical applications of Copilot in the key Microsoft 365 applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and OneNote. Participants will learn to integrate AI across various work areas—from document creation and data analysis to communication, meetings, and information organization. A core element is the ability to formulate effective prompts (prompt engineering) and critically verify AI results against business standards.

Learning Objectives

The goal of this course is to demonstrate how to fully leverage the capabilities of artificial intelligence (Microsoft Copilot) within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem to work faster, more efficiently, and more creatively. Participants will discover how Copilot supports daily tasks, reduces time-consuming activities, and facilitates decision-making in both individual and team environments.

Target Audience

The course is designed for individuals working in the Microsoft 365 environment who wish to increase productivity through AI, including specialists and managers (sales, HR, finance, administration, projects), project teams, professionals creating documents, presentations, and communicating with clients or within their organization.

Prerequisites

Basic familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). It is recommended that participants have access to a Microsoft 365 environment with an active Copilot license if the training is to be conducted in a fully hands-on manner using live tools (subject to organizational licensing policy).

Learning Outcomes and Validation

After the course, participants will be able to:

  • select the appropriate use of Copilot for the task (creation, analysis, summarization, communication, work organization),
  • create effective prompts that include purpose, context, audience, and format,
  • automate and shorten the preparation of documents, reports, presentations, and communications,
  • utilize Copilot in Outlook/Teams to organize work and follow up after meetings,
  • critically verify AI results and adapt them to business standards (quality, coherence, style).

Validation of outcomes is conducted through practical tasks performed during the training (minimum 3 exercises) and assessment of results based on a quality checklist (purpose, completeness, format, coherence). An optional pre- or post-training knowledge quiz may also be used.
